New Book called 'Fear of Music: The Greatest 261 Albums Since Punk and Disco' by Garry Mulholland has just come out. Secondhand Daylight and CUOS are both featured. The review of SHD is mainly about Barry Adamson's bass playing, and how there were so many good bassists around that time. And how Permafrost is so much better than anything The Stranglers could have done. The CUOS review is about how the album is a key moment where punk / new wave of the 70's mutated into the punk / funk of the 80's. Although these list books are getting a bit tedious, this one is worth having a flick through.
