28 Apr 1979 Southampton Guildhall Simple Minds Error ? Sure is - this must have been the Portsmouth Guildhall (or possibly Portsmouth Locarno) as I saw Magazine while I was at college in Portsmouth in 1979. Fantastic gig - Devoto introduced 'Give me Everything' as their 'secret single' because Virgin's promotion had been so crap. Best moment - a beefy matelot yelling out 'Oi, g'wan Howie, gi' us one we can pogo to..', Devoto replying 'We'll take everything at our own pace , thank you.', before launching into 'Dummy'. Cool!!!
