Me too - but were any concerts recorded? I've already got the Berlin gig on dvd. The audience seem a little bit non-plussed to me..... S-G on 10:21 27th-Jun-05 GMT #3fa-34758 Heh heh- you should see the T.O.T.P audience when they did Shot By Both Sides. They look scared. helen @ on 10:20 27th-Jun-05 GMT #8fc-34760 I haven't got that footage - I can barely remember it. Is that when Howard declined to do the whole popstar bit? Are there any techno wizards out there that can upload these videos onto the computer for download? S-G on 10:20 27th-Jun-05 GMT #d05-34763 I'm exaggerating- the audience don't really look scared as you can only see their backs but they don't move around at-all. Sorry- no facility to load stuff onto this site. The DVD came from ebay- punk TOTP. Some good bands, some absolutely terrible. Duncan on 10:20 27th-Jun-05 GMT #f37-34766 In Simon Reynold's new book 'Rip it up and start again', he reckons that it was that one performance on Top of the Pops that pretty much finished Magazine's chances of ever being a chart band with hit records Sevcom @ on 10:20 27th-Jun-05 GMT #abd-34790 I have a tape of Magazine live at the Fmaily Inn, Rydlamere, Sydney, Australia in the early 80's which is wonderful and taped direct from FM radio (2jjj). Came out to Australia just after Secondhand Daylight was released as I remember. Saw the gig at the Tivoli (Sydney again) - religious experience even though John McGeogh had just left. We even got to interview all of the band sans Howard on that one and only visit. How to upload for the download? helen @ on 10:20 27th-Jun-05 GMT #bd5-34798 That punk TOTP dvd is currently £16 and climbing on Ebay.... I dipped out at £15! Howard on 10:20 27th-Jun-05 GMT #920-34800 Don't waste your money buying bootlegs of concerts - you can download them for free from http://www.punktorrents.com and burn them to DVD/VCD your self - buy the genuine articles though if it means royalty payments to the artists..... S-G on 10:20 27th-Jun-05 GMT #2fd-34801 Helen the punk TOTP had a buy now option so I got it for £9.99 with no bidding. It might appear there again. helen @ on 10:20 27th-Jun-05 GMT #832-34818 Thanks for the advice. The seller is trying to sell it to me for £15 but I think I'll decline... open mind on 10:21 27th-Jun-05 GMT #0b3-34842 a post from under 'retail therapy' this site should be called.
