All these Simon's, I'm simply getting confused. Yes, the late great John McGeough plays on the Back to Nature Bootleg. The versions of Boredom, permafrost and especially Big Dummy are worth the admission fee alone.

I don't know of any MP3's of BTN but there's a copy up for grabs on ebay in the u.s. ($30 tops).

Simon(W)- I've not seen promos anywhere else since being in the shops circa 1989. Am sure it's unavailable now. I presume the seller (it's often on ebay) has taken it from the video- not sure. Someone else sometimes sells Rockpalast, promos and OGWT clips one one DVD. So sorry I can't burn mine as have no facilities.

Just bought 'Where the power is' on cd to find that 'Shot by both sides' is a cak, nicey, smooth version of the track...nowhere near as good as the raw original Vinyl version.... why do people have to p*** about with tracks... I'm not happy...the rest of the tracks from 'Real Life'& 'The Thin Air' are spot on. Does anyone know if the Track on the actual'Real Life' cd is the pucker one ????? or as that one be ******* up too !

The track on the Real Life CD sounds the same to me as on the vinyl. BUT saying that, my vinyl copy is 27 years old & I haven't heard it lately.

Oh well I'll invest in that cd then.... love the album, I still blow the dust off it and give it a spin... 'The light pours out of me' on this cd is fantastic sends chills down my spine, never heard it without crackles and clicks since my LP was new... just peed off about said 'Shot by both sides'....too much of this going on these days all these Remastering jobs seem to be given to people who have never even heard the original, probably weren't even born when it was released....I found the same thing when I've bought early AC-DC stuff on cd...bits added bits taken away Aaaaaaagh ! So Sorry I never got to see Magazine live, feel the same way about Sad Cafe, another brilliant Manchester band and I never saw them either. Cheers For The Info Mate... I assume you know that the single version of Shot By Both Sides is/was different from the LP version, the LP version being more produced/polished/less raw??? the single version is on Scree CD you probably know all that so I'll shut up

The Album I have, was bought the first week it was released, I think the track's definately been re-recorded somewhere along the line, coz the track on my album is a raw sound the same as the single. Cheers
