Musings
I was only indulging in Magazine's Peel Sessions CD on Monday night. John Peel is the most important individual within the music industry - music industry eh - what a disgusting term. First John McGeoch, now John Peel - 2 people who have have had a distinct effect on my life. Sandra Green on 01:04 29th-Oct-04 GMT #4bb-31876 Yeah- I agree with you. No more festive 50's - sob. On the radio one website you can request a Peel session track to be played. I listened to the Steve Lamacq tribute on Tuesday- pretty good stuff. Great Beautician In The Sky @ on 01:04 29th-Oct-04 GMT #3e3-31878 There are a lot of Peel Session tracks that haven't been released, for example only recently have the rest of The Undertones sessions been put out that weren't on the Strange Fruit album. I'm not aware of any Magazine tracks that aren't available, I'm sure they were all gathered on the 'Maybe it's right to be nervous now' box set. If there is one track from the archives I would love to hear that has never been released it would be 'Escalator in the rain' by Microdisney. I just know the master tape has been going mouldy in a drawer for the last 20 years.
