No-one has any idea what it felt like to put dusty needle on vinyl in1978 and hear all of Real Life in the 'empty days' .....McGeogh was truelly great...farming will never be the same....but I am forever picking up the pieces in my wheat fields.....and he will play at my funeral...bless him

I hear what you're saying, 'Dim'. You're probably quite right but often people don't like folk rocking the boat. I think my question is fairly direct but sometimes it's tactful to read between the lines. It would seem to me, however, that John McGeoch retired from the limelight post PiL (he was a musician anyway, not a celebrity.) But the reasoning (and decline?) fascinates me cause it's such a bloody waste and it makes me ANGRY. I read that Lydon employed a certain someone with the emphasis being on keeping them on the wagon, aside from their talent; whether it is true or not I don't know but it's interesting all the same don't you think? And it would seem to be that the various list of personnel over the years had little contact in the latter stages. Weird for a guy who was Mr Friendly. Anyway, bad news about your home situation Dim, sorry and all that.

Awefully sorry about the off-topic post... feel free to read over it. For those who are interested, I updated the Luxuria Shrine today with a few discography sleeve pictures (thanks @ Jan). I don't use the ones from this site because CMoS (no offence, I assume he's just very, very busy) is a bit slow in allowing material usage. :) Also, if anyone's interested in some further Luxuria audio material: As usual, please just contact me at 'pinkgothic at t-online.de', and I might just be able to arrange a meeting for you with an mp3... ;) As usual, material for the Luxuria Shrine is lacking, so if you have a review you want to write, feel free to do so! I'll be happy to credit you with your work and link to a website or suchlike in return. :)
