Peel played 'Floorboards' last night after someone mailed in asking for magazine and for him to comment on John, He said 'What can you say at times like this'. Jeremy Vine mailed me back after I mailed him to say that it was good somebody in radio land regonised John's talent, he said he was sad to hear of John's death and what a great band he thought Magazine were. Bill Nelson on his diary pages says some nice things about John as well. Open Mind, no we don't all know and I for one are not that bothered about cause of death, Im just sad about his passing.

I've always wondered, is the Tony Wilson who produced the Give Me Everything/Big Dummy 7' none other than Anthony H. Wilson? And whichever Tony Wilson it was, how come he got to do just the one Magazine job? Was the band unhappy with the recordings?
