Well I'm a female fan of Magazine, but I'm the only one I know of in my social circle so I guess we're pretty rare - and of course I was introduced to Magazine by a man... for which I'm eternally grateful(!) - he knows who he is.

Got into Magazine (and loads of other bands) thanks to John Peel. My husband can say that he was introduced to them by a woman (me).

That the only people who are really using this site to talk to each other are female doesn't surprise me too much! I got into Magazine after hearing 'A Song from Under the Floorboards' on a Martin Hannett compilation and despite putting Permafrost on every subsequent mixtape, I have succeeded in converting... no one at all. However, it's fine. Among my peers, this is still 'my thing'. Having said that, I'm so glad I found this website! It's reassuring to find some other people out there who share my tastes!
