Been looking at the new book by Garry Mulholland today, 'This is Uncool (The 500 greatest singles since punk and disco)'... some of my favourite songs ever in there, and several great Magazine reviews (Give me Everything, Shot by both Sides, About the Weather). He describes Devoto's style quite brilliantly and is clearly a fan- why else include 3 Magazine tracks from 2 different years on a list like this?! It's great to see they haven't been completely ignored, but are still admired enough to be officially Uncool. So unusual to find them so well represented. All the tracks are listed on the website http://www.thisisuncool.com/uc/songs.html and you can vote for your favourite tracks from the book. I don't work for Garry Mulholland or anything! Just trying to get some props for my favourite band.

Don't wish to be a bore but I am also counting the days until the Bridgwater Hall gig. Its going to be hard work getting there for me, because I do not live in the UK. I just wondered if anyone else not from the UK was going to be there? As far as contributing to the Luxuria Shrine, what is it that one must do to 'contribute'? Just wondering, don't worry about being the only one anywhere, I'm certain it gets us to where we wish to go a little faster because of the 'lack of competition'. eh, that's what I said about being a graduate of 'fine art'.
